Information about The Virtual Cooee Hub

How it works

How it works

This hub is a place to find support for your business from a virtual assistant.

If you're a virtual assistant:
  • Create your account and customise your profile (this is about you, your skills and the services you offer).
  • Create a listing and specify what service you want to offer, set the price (hourly or per project etc) and sell your offerings to business owners.
  • Listings are free but we will charge you a small success fee, when someone purchases your service.
  • Our success fee is 6% with the minimum fee set to $2.50.
  • To receive payments for your listings, you will need to add your bank details in the 'Payments' section of the settings. You will also need to grant The Virtual Cooee permission to charge a transaction fee.
  • The minimum price you can charge for a service you are offering in a listing is set to $10.

If you're a business owner looking for VA services:
  • Create your account and customise your profile (this is about you and what your business does).
  • Browse our virtual assistant listings, find an offer that suits your needs (or contact a VA directly on the platform to discuss options), discuss time, scope and payment options.
  • Alternatively if you can't find a listing that suits, create your own listing specifying what you work you need help with. Be sure to make your listing as specific as possible! Just start a conversation!
  • Listings are free but when you book a service we will charge you a small fee. Our service fee is 6% with the minimum fee set to $2.50.
  • To book a VA service, you will need to enter your bank card details at the time of booking.
  • Don't forget to leave feedback and share your experience with the others.

A few simple rules to abide by:
  • Always be polite, respectful and helpful to other users.
  • Keep the communication regarding your task/project on the HUB using the messaging system (see your inbox at the top right when you hover over your icon). This is the only way we can verify progress of work if any work or payment disputes arise.
  • Please don't post your email and website addresses in your listings or encourage communication off the HUB.
  • No abuse, no harassing, no spam, no solicitation.
  • You may create multiple listings but use one account per person only.

Tips for having a great Virtual Cooee experience

Brief well

A succinct and clear brief will help both parties achieve their desired outcome. For business owners, make sure the virtual assistant has all the information they need and are clear on exactly what you want from them. For virtual assistants, if you are unsure, take the time to ask questions and clarify specifics.

Communicate
Our instant messaging is a quick way to send links to resources and stay updated with each other during the task. Making sure to communicate often as this helps track progress and squash any problems before they develop further. Note: you can only send links through our platform and not documents e.g. you can send a Google Doc link.

Break it down
Breaking tasks down into chunks is a great way to stay focused and productive.
Our virtual assistants are mostly booked by the hour. If it turns out that the task requires more time from the virtual assistant, just book them again for the extra hours you need.

Frequently asked questions

What types of tasks are most suitable for The Virtual Cooee Hub?

Generally, tasks that can be briefed easily,  but take a while to do. These may be tasks that have some aspect of repetition or perhaps a more manual element to them, where an extra pair of (remote) hands really helps chip away at getting it done.

How do you handle payment?
When you book a service with a virtual assistant, our payment provider Stripe, holds the payment while the task is being worked on. Only when the business owner marks the task as complete, will Stripe release funds to the virtual assistant.
Note: If a service buyer forgets to mark the task as complete, Stripe will automatically release the payment 14 days after the virtual assistant was booked.

What happens if the service provider does not deliver what I asked for?
Business owners have the option to dispute a transaction. In this case, someone from The Virtual Cooee team will then investigate the case by reading the message history in the HUB and by asking both parties to submit their case of argument (which may include evidence of outputs). From there, a decision is made to either refund the order, or cancel the dispute and process the transaction. This is why communicating messages in the HUB is important. If communication is off the HUB we can't analyse the cases.

Do you store financial information on your platform?
No. Any payment information you put in goes straight to our payment provider, Stripe.
